PROFESSOR HARRAF’S JOURNEY
Professor. Harraf was raised in a mix-background family in the United States. From a young age, she was compelled to manage the hurdles of multiculturalism and saw firsthand how differences in culture, gender and access made a drastic difference in people’s future success.
Such personal experiences in life propelled her curiosity as to what factors can remedy the gaps that impacted diverse peoples’ outcomes and sharpened her determination to improve her outcomes and outcomes of others in similar situations. Her observation led her to realize education was one of the significant factors that made a crucial difference in reducing the gap for those with diverse backgrounds. As she was a woman, she also realized that she would need to be empowered in addition to being educated to reach where she would help people.
PROFESSOR HARRAF’S CAREER AND PASSION
Fast forward two decades, many years of education, and two children later, Arezou is now in the position to do what she had dreamed of doing. Her life journey has brought her to the point where she can both educate and empower others, particularly women around the world. As an Associate Professor of Human Resource Development in Kuwait, she uses her knowledge and research to educate and empower women to prosper and pursue future leadership roles in society. As the CEO of Learn &, Evolve LLC, Professor. Harraf, helps mentor and educate girls worldwide on needed skills to shape and launch successful careers. As a co-founder of Grit Leadership Partners, Professor. Harraf is in a position to shape and empower the future leaders of industries in the GCC and beyond.
